The hotel, located on Calle Larga XXII Marzo, a luxury boutique-lined street just five minutes from Piazza San Marco and La Fenice opera house, is the result of a four-year restoration project by French-Italian duo Lecoadic-Scotto. The design brief for Nolinski Venice was to respectfully preserve the building's historical integrity and original architectural framework, while simultaneously infusing it with the city's unique essence in an eclectic and modern manner. The hotel's interior design is a cohesive fusion of Art Nouveau, Liberty, and Modernism, achieved through a diverse palette of colors, furnishings, and materials. Traditional Venetian terrazzo flooring, Renaissance-inspired rounded arched windows, and stucco marmorino walls are complemented by mid-twentieth century glass chandeliers. These elements are further enriched with opulent, velvety furnishings in shades of burgundy, indigo, and baby pink, contributing to a rich and inviting atmosphere. Central to the hotel's charm is the Library Bar, an intimate space characterized by dark wood paneling and deep burgundy velvet curtains. This area houses approximately four thousand books, interspersed with two frescoed canvases by Simon Buret, which offer his artistic interpretation of Venice. A notable abstract painting on the ceiling, also by Buret, carries a nautical theme, subtly referencing the mythical sea creatures depicted on the hotel's façade. The hotel features a curated collection of glass objects created by Mariapia Bellis of Avem, a Murano-based glassware artisan.
