Tour A Zen Dubai Villa That Was Inspired by Nature
Miro Architects, a Dubai- and Cairo-based studio, has completed its latest project, the Mohini Residence, a Zen-inspired villa located in Dubai's affluent Emirates Hill neighborhood. The design seamlessly blends modern aesthetics with natural elements, creating a harmonious living space that emphasizes indoor-outdoor connection. The firm, known for its innovative designs in interiors, architecture, and landscaping, employed clean lines and a minimalist approach for this project.
The Mohini Residence features sleek architectural lines and minimalist decor. A key design element is the extensive use of floor-to-ceiling windows and wide glass doors, which effectively blur the boundaries between the interior and the surrounding natural environment. This integration allows for abundant natural light to flood the spaces and provides panoramic views of the lush gardens and swimming pool.
Inside the villa, an expansive layout is characterized by a warm, neutral color palette and wooden accents. These elements are consistently applied throughout the home, from the open-plan living areas to the spacious bedrooms, contributing to a cohesive and tranquil atmosphere. The main living room is distinguished by a colorful lighting fixture suspended above an undulating, contemporary leather sofa and chair. Artworks are strategically placed throughout the villa, adding vibrant touches that break the understated backdrop and infuse personality into the space.
The exterior landscape of the villa mirrors its modern interior design. Wooden paneling is a prominent feature in the outdoor areas, creating a visual link with the interior. A matching wooden table and benches form a focal point for social gatherings within the meticulously designed gardens and streamlined landscaping, further enhancing the connection to nature.
Mohamad Hazem, CEO and founder of Miro Architects, highlights the firm's commitment to lavish and innovative designs, coupled with unprecedented execution. He emphasizes that every detail in the Mohini Residence, from luxurious finishes to architectural innovations, was carefully considered to evoke refinement and style. Hazem, a graduate of the University of East London, has garnered recognition for his work, including winning the Architecture Single Residence category of the 2020 International Property Awards for the African/Arabian Region. He attributes his success to a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles, honed through his family background, which he integrates into his architectural practice. The ultimate goal of the Mohini Residence project, according to Hazem, is to ensure a harmonious living experience where residents can engage with nature while enjoying modern luxury, underscoring his philosophy that true design transcends superficial aesthetics to profoundly impact the human experience.
