Full Spectrum collection by Carnegie Fabrics
Carnegie Fabrics has introduced its Full Spectrum collection, which combines existing high-performance textiles with new color additions. The collection emphasizes durability and ease of cleaning, catering to high-traffic environments. A significant part of the Full Spectrum collection comprises new offerings within the Biobased Xorel line, a sustainable fabric derived from rapidly renewable sugarcane. These Biobased Xorel fabrics are available in updated color palettes and feature an enhanced hand feel due to advancements in knitting techniques. They are suitable for various applications, including upholstery, wall panels, and wallcoverings, and contribute to a reduced carbon footprint compared to petroleum-based alternatives.
Key additions to the Biobased Xorel line include the 'Ion' pattern, a subtle herringbone design now offered in ten new colors, and 'Nebula,' a pattern characterized by irregular lines and dashes, available in six new colorways. Beyond the Biobased Xorel line, the Full Spectrum collection also introduces 'Precision,' a new range of coated fabrics. Precision fabrics are notable for their exceptional scratch and tear resistance, attributed to a silicone top layer. This range features 29 solid hues and meets stringent hygiene standards, being approved for use with hospital-grade cleaners and possessing inherent antimicrobial properties. Furthermore, Precision fabrics are formulated to be low in volatile organic compounds (VOCs) and are free from PVC plastic and toxic PFAS chemicals, aligning with contemporary environmental and health considerations.
Carnegie Fabrics aims for the Full Spectrum collection to offer designers and specifiers a comprehensive selection of textiles that are both aesthetically versatile and functionally robust. The inclusion of Biobased Xorel underscores the brand's commitment to sustainable material innovation, providing options that support environmental responsibility without compromising performance. The Precision line extends this commitment to areas requiring the highest levels of resilience and cleanliness, making the collection suitable for a wide array of commercial and institutional settings. The collection's emphasis on mix-and-match capabilities allows for flexible and coordinated interior design schemes, facilitating the creation of cohesive and durable spaces.
