Design gets personal: rethinking how we cook, clean, and connect

Elleci, a company founded in 1992 and still led by the Traversa family, recently introduced its latest creations: a multifunctional kitchen workstation and an advanced laundry solution. These innovations aim to redefine the functionality and aesthetics of everyday living spaces through cutting-edge materials, ergonomic precision, and a sustainable vision. The company, which began as an Italian idea, has grown into a global design powerhouse, known for its patented materials such as Granitek, Keratek, and Duratek, its eco-friendly practices, and continuous innovation. One of Elleci's flagship products is Mixology, a dual-purpose workstation designed for contemporary lifestyles that blur the lines between home and hospitality, personal and professional life. As the centerpiece of the new Élite Kitchen line, Mixology reimagines the concept of domestic conviviality and functional design. Created with shared living trends like co-living and co-housing in mind, it transcends the traditional sink by offering a multi-layered hub for creativity. The workstation features dual basins with a low divider, a triple-tiered workspace, and integrated modular accessories, allowing two people to use it simultaneously. This design caters to both home chefs and amateur mixologists, fostering collaborative use. Mixology has received significant recognition, including the prestigious Red Dot Design Award 2025 and iF Design Award 2025. It is crafted from Keratek, a patented nano-tech composite, known for its high resistance, velvety matte finishes, and diverse color palettes. This material contributes to a sensorially rich and performance-driven surface. To further enhance the user experience, Elleci offers custom accessory kits, including "Chef" and "Barman" versions, which come with cutting boards, colanders, and Pod sets for organized storage. These accessories transform Mixology into a versatile tool for daily routines and celebratory occasions. In addition to the kitchen workstation, Elleci has reimagined the laundry area with its Laundry concept, aiming to elevate a often-overlooked space within the home. This concept focuses on combining beauty and efficiency, turning mundane chores into more graceful rituals. The Laundry basin, made from Duratek, features an extra-large design and a multi-position laundry board that can function as a washboard, a countertop, or be stored vertically. Its design incorporates ergonomic elements such as a semi-recessed installation, a Ghost Drain System, and a Linear Overflow. Duratek, Elleci’s latest material innovation, provides powdery matte textures, ultra-smooth surfaces, and exceptional resilience against chemicals, heat, and impacts. The material's sustainable production processes and extended lifecycle align with responsible design principles. The Laundry basin is available in four color options—white, grey, black, and sage—and is paired with a light wood laundry board, creating natural contrasts and a sense of serenity. Both Mixology and the Laundry concept exemplify Elleci’s human-centric approach to design, prioritizing durability, usability, and elegance in every product. Elleci's approach emphasizes that design extends beyond mere objects, influencing how individuals interact with and experience their living environments. #kitchenDesign #laundryDesign #homeInnovation #multifunctionalDesign #sustainableMaterials #ergonomicDesign #smartHome #interiorDesign #kitchenDesign #laundryDesign #homeInnovation #multifunctionalDesign #sustainableMaterials #ergonomicDesign #smartHome #interiorDesign
