Kate Nixon's Bedroom Design With Fanuli
Interior designer Kate Nixon collaborated with Belle and Fanuli to create her ideal bedroom, focusing on soft lines, timeless silhouettes, and luxurious pieces. The design concept for the serene bedroom was inspired by the Clapis bed from MD House, noted for its contemporary lines and textured upholstery. Nixon opted for a combination of mismatched bedside furniture, specifically the Riva Elle Ecrit desk and Flexform Ascanio side tables, valuing their practicality and space-saving attributes, along with their cohesive timber tones and enduring designs.
A key element in Nixon's design is the Flexform’s Mate magazine caddy, which she highlights as a favorite accessory. This piece, with its steel framework and woven leather, is praised for its classic Italian style and versatility, fitting seamlessly into various interior aesthetics. Nixon emphasizes that the ultimate goal for a perfect bedroom is to cultivate a calm and inviting atmosphere, achieved by surrounding oneself with beloved objects and paying meticulous attention to various design layers.
Her comprehensive approach to bedroom design involves considering all elements from floor to ceiling. This includes selecting an area rug, wall coverings, and window treatments to lighting fixtures. The choice of bedding, art, and other accessories are also crucial. Nixon advocates for a cohesive palette of tones and textures across all these elements to create a harmonious and tranquil space.
The article showcases several specific items used in Nixon's bedroom design. These include the Riva 1920 ‘Vela’ sideboard, vintage ‘Yoz’ pots from Kate Nixon Store, and the Antonio Citterio ‘Ascanio’ bedside table paired with a Fanuli ‘Adagio’ light. The room features Quercus & Co. ‘Seagrass’ wallpaper in Pepita from Elliott Clarke, and artwork titled ‘Coastal Reach’ by Richard Whadcock from Studio Gallery. The flooring is adorned with a ‘Swirl’ wool and silk rug from Fanuli.
For the bedding, Busatti 1842 ‘Cadibona’ bedspread and ‘Raso Egitto’ cotton bedlinen set in white are used, complemented by a Kate Nixon with Quercus & Co. ‘Serval’ lumbar cushion in Cognac and a plaid coverlet in Cocao weave fabric from Elliott Clarke. Additional furniture includes a Lanerossi ‘Bogota’ bouclé blanket and a Bonaldo ‘Olos’ pouf from Fanuli. Decorative items such as a leather ‘Valet’ tray, a Penta ‘Spoon’ table lamp on the Riva 1920 ‘Elle Ecrit’ desk, and a Flexform ‘Doris’ armchair contribute to the luxurious feel. A Made Goods ‘Lilou’ woven box, books, a frame, a marble bowl, a basket, and a pen holder, all from Kate Nixon Store, complete the curated look. #BedroomDesign #InteriorDesign #KateNixon #FanuliFurniture #LuxuryInteriors #HomeDecor #BedroomInspiration #DesignConcepts
