These stones, harvested from abandoned quarries, showcase geological layers ranging in color from pink to grey. The designers cut the rock into a cuboid shape, with resin applied over the mossy surface to create a flat, functional top. This design seeks to capture the complex relief and harmonious blend of structural forms and climatic conditions found in the Dolomite mountains. Finally, the Undergrowth series features bookshelves and consoles made from solid oak planks. These planks are connected by steel rods that pass through the wood, creating a self-supporting structure. The mossy edges of the oak planks are encased in resin, preserving their natural state and creating the visual effect of the log sections being suspended in mid-air. This design aims for essentiality, showcasing the raw beauty of the natural materials.
