Senso designs "world's first seamless flooring" with plant-based resins

Global surfaces brand Senso has introduced new recyclable floor and wall finishes that are engineered to deliver an elegant, seamless aesthetic and promote a healthier indoor environment compared to conventional materials. Senso's product lines, encompassing poured floors and wall coverings, are intended for continuous application across both residential and commercial settings, offering a soft-touch surface. The company asserts that its products represent the "world's first seamless, sustainable and recyclable natural flooring," crafted from plant-based resins, natural binders, and non-toxic pigments. Senso developed these products as an alternative to the epoxy flooring popularized in the 1960s, which presented environmental and health concerns due to its reliance on petroleum and harmful chemicals. David Bols, founder of Senso, expressed his ambition to create a product that was not only visually appealing and durable but also prioritized sustainability and contributed positively to human well-being. This vision led to a decade of extensive research and experimentation, culminating in the launch of flooring products that offer seamless coverage without the inclusion of hazardous chemicals. Senso's flooring range is available in a diverse selection of colors, textures, and finishes. Its polished microtopping comes in various forms, including Superquartz, which combines bio-based resin with finely crushed marble to create a microblend terrazzo with a distinct swirled pattern. Another option, Fusion, is a two-tone, neutral flooring characterized by a velvet-like texture. The company also offers Bcrete, made using recycled fishing nets recovered from the North Sea, which features a smooth yet grainy tactile quality. Beyond flooring, Senso provides wall coverings in several iterations, including plain white and a gray "denim" hue. These wall surfaces are described by the brand as "next-generation Venetian plaster." Both the floor and wall products are designed for use in a wide array of spaces, from home interiors to commercial establishments such as hotels, spas, and restaurants, offering resistance to limescale and mold. Senso's flooring products have achieved Cradle to Cradle certification, an independent verification of their sustainability performance, and are recyclable at the end of their service life. Senso's materials have been implemented in numerous private and public projects, including villas in Prague and Berlin, and retail installations for brands like Heineken and Louis Vuitton. The brand emphasizes its commitment to creating products that are truly sustainable for both homes and the environment, design-friendly, and cater to creative individuals seeking new inspiration with luxurious and comfortable finishes. To enhance customer experience, Senso has recently established three new "experiential" showrooms in Los Angeles, Miami, and New York, where the full product range can be explored. #ResinFlooring #SustainableMaterials #RecyclableFlooring #PlantBasedResins #SeamlessSurfaces #InteriorDesign #EcoFriendlyProducts #CommercialFlooring #ResidentialFlooring #ResinFlooring #SustainableMaterials #RecyclableFlooring #PlantBasedResins #SeamlessSurfaces #InteriorDesign #EcoFriendlyProducts #CommercialFlooring #ResidentialFlooring
