10 Flooring Products that Look Good and Work Hard

Flooring is a critical element in any space, be it a home, hotel, or office building, as it often sets the initial impression and must endure daily wear and tear. This article highlights ten innovative flooring products designed to combine aesthetic appeal with high performance and durability. These selections address various needs, from outdoor applications to sustainable indoor solutions. First, Gres Aragón-Favaker introduces two new nonslip-grip porcelain tile collections for outdoor use. The Selene collection features a cement effect in white, cream, and mocha shades, while Materia mimics natural stone with subtle gray and ivory veins. Both are available in rectified floor and step tiles, providing robust options for exterior spaces. Next, Shaw Contract’s Local Landscapes carpet tiles are crafted from EcoSolution Q100, a high-performance nylon fiber made from 100 percent recycled pre-consumer sources, optimizing for low embodied carbon. Inspired by nature, these 18-inch by 36-inch tiles come in six color palettes: Grassland, Forest, Mountain, Arctic, Desert, and Coastal, aiming to bring the outdoors inside. Riva Spain offers Riva Max White Oak, an engineered hardwood flooring product. It features a sustainably sourced European white oak top layer and a marine-grade Baltic birch plywood core for enhanced stability. The planks are ten inches wide, six or eight feet long, and five-eighths of an inch thick, available in ten colors with a Bona UV matte lacquer finish. Porcelanosa’s Terra Collection consists of ceramic tiles that replicate the soft look and color palette of Mediterranean cement. These floor and wall tiles have a matte finish and white scales, offered in Bone and Topo finishes, with different sizes for floor and wall applications. Milliken’s First Sight collection of modular tiles is made from recycled nylon and inspired by the serene moment of first light over water. These 19.7-inch by 19.7-inch tiles feature a PVC-free cushion backing and a tufted, textured loop, available in 14 neutral colors. Mannington’s Mend Collection of modular carpet tiles celebrates imperfection and craftsmanship. Made from recycled-content nylon, these rugs use layers of texture and color to transform flaws into unique designs, available in three styles and various rich colorways. Patcraft’s ReMaterial Resilient Flooring is a PVC-free option that can be recycled at the end of its life cycle. It utilizes polyolefin material, incorporating up to 25 percent recycled plastic from household items. The flooring, available in 21 colors, can be reclaimed through the company’s re\[TURN\] program. J+J Flooring introduces the Idyllwild Collection, drawing inspiration from California’s landscapes. Made from extruded nylon for appearance retention and stain removal, this collection is available in broadloom or 18-inch by 36-inch tiles, with three designs: Sojourn, Bliss, and Harmony. Interface, known for modular carpet tiles, now offers Earthen Forms Luxury Vinyl Tile. This nature-inspired LVT features a wood-grain or travertine-stone look, contains 39 percent recycled content, and includes a 22-millimeter wear layer and fiberglass for dimensional stability. It comes in planks and tiles. Finally, Bentley’s Sweater Collection, part of its Prima Vista collection, features four minimalist textured area rugs made from 100 percent wool. These hand-tufted, hand-knotted, and hand-loomed rugs, named Crew Neck, Hoodie, Pullover, and Quarter Zip, offer familiar comfort and are available in various area rug sizes and as 12-foot broadloom. #FlooringProducts #SustainableDesign #InteriorDesign #RecycledMaterials #HighPerformanceFlooring #OutdoorTiles #CarpetTiles #HardwoodFlooring #CeramicTiles #LuxuryVinylTile #FlooringProducts #SustainableDesign #InteriorDesign #RecycledMaterials #HighPerformanceFlooring #OutdoorTiles #CarpetTiles #HardwoodFlooring #CeramicTiles #LuxuryVinylTile
