Waterproofing contractors made multiple attempts to seal the basement, but the problem persisted, leading to stagnant water and associated issues. In a more positive development, Erin Burk, a "poosher" from the US, joined the team in June to assist with rammed earth wall construction. July saw the exposure of the rammed earth walls built in June, which presented a mixed aesthetic. While individual walls were visually striking, their combined appearance was described as 'crazy' by some team members. Despite these concerns, there was an open-minded approach, with hope that the overall look would improve once the roof and interior walls were in place.
