Nineline architectural wall cladding from Stratco
Stratco Australia, in collaboration with Studio Nine Architects, has introduced Nineline, a new range of steel wall cladding profiles designed to offer enhanced architectural form and depth. This product line reinterprets basic geometric shapes into three distinct, precisely engineered fixed profiles: Pleat, Box, and Batten. These initial offerings are characterized by their significant rib heights, extending up to 90 mm, which allows for a heightened level of articulation and a notable visual presence, particularly when used across expansive surfaces.
The development of Nineline was a meticulous process, spanning 18 months of intensive research and development, including comprehensive testing and prototyping. This rigorous approach ensured the profiles' seamless integration with a diverse array of construction materials. As a result, Nineline is suitable for both interior and exterior architectural applications, providing versatility for designers and builders.
Andrew Steele, managing director at Studio Nine Architects, emphasizes the cladding's capacity to introduce subtle yet dynamic qualities to building structures. He notes that the repetitive and simple elements inherent in the design can create visually appealing facades. Nineline is presented as a deliberately minimalist solution, offering architects the means to articulate buildings with elegance and precision without resorting to excessive design elements.
The modular nature of the Nineline system is intended to foster creative expression in architectural design. Its ability to combine with various materials and its suitability for both internal and external environments make it a flexible option for contemporary construction. The product’s deep profiles contribute to a strong visual impact, addressing the aesthetic demands of modern architecture for strong forms and textural interest. This collaboration between Stratco and Studio Nine Architects aims to provide innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of the architectural community for high-quality, aesthetically pleasing, and adaptable cladding systems.
