The RIB Outdoor Collection Honors Past While Looking to the Future of Danish Design

The RIB Outdoor Collection, a new line of outdoor furniture by designer Morten Anker for Sibast Furniture, launched recently. This collection is a significant addition to outdoor living spaces, designed to encourage users to embrace the outdoors during warmer seasons. It represents a fusion of traditional Danish design principles, contemporary aesthetics, and innovative craftsmanship, all while maintaining a commitment to sustainability. The development of the RIB Outdoor Collection spanned a considerable period, culminating in a range of pieces that pay homage to the Golden Age of Danish design. The furniture is meticulously crafted from carefully selected core teak wood. Each component undergoes a process of cutting, shaping, and hand-assembly, ensuring precision and quality. A distinctive feature of the collection is its ultra-smooth finish, achieved through a special sanding technique that eliminates the need for chemical treatments or wood stains, highlighting the natural beauty and integrity of the teak wood. The collection is comprehensive, offering a wide array of functional pieces for various outdoor settings. It includes dining chairs, available with or without arms, and dining benches, offered with or without backrests. For dining arrangements, both round and square dining tables are part of the collection. The range also extends to bar stools and café tables, catering to different social and dining needs. Beyond dining, the RIB collection provides lounge chairs and lounge benches, again with options for backrests, along with lounge tables. For relaxation and sunbathing, single and double daybeds and sunbeds are featured. A modular sofa series allows for flexible configurations to suit diverse outdoor spaces. Additionally, the collection includes a swing for leisure and comes with cushions available in four distinct colors. A key aspect of the RIB Outdoor Collection is its strong commitment to environmental sustainability. For every product sold from this collection, a tree is planted through the organization One Tree Planted, an initiative that underscores the brand's dedication to ecological responsibility and reforestation efforts. The Anker family has a rich history of designing high-quality, sustainable outdoor furniture across several generations. Their work consistently contributes to enhancing living experiences through the creation of beautiful and timeless pieces that uphold and perpetuate the legacy of Danish design. Sibast Furniture, established in 1908, shares this deep-rooted commitment to Danish design heritage, exceptional craftsmanship, and family values. The collaboration between Morten Anker and Sibast Furniture embodies a bridge between mid-century design principles and modern sensibilities, effectively carrying forward historical design traditions while simultaneously shaping the future of outdoor furniture. #OutdoorFurniture #DanishDesign #TeakWood #SustainableDesign #HomeFurnishings #MortenAnker #SibastFurniture #FurnitureCollection #Craftsmanship #OutdoorFurniture #DanishDesign #TeakWood #SustainableDesign #HomeFurnishings #MortenAnker #SibastFurniture #FurnitureCollection #Craftsmanship
