CIL presents its colours of 2015

CIL Paint has unveiled its top color palette for 2015, emphasizing self-expression and the art of mixing and matching colors in home décor. The overarching theme for the year focuses on creating a personal refuge where individuals can truly express themselves through a diverse array of rich, bright tones and saturated, nature-infused neutrals. Unlike previous trends that might have advocated for matching, 2015's approach is inspired by fashion runways, where eclectic combinations are celebrated, suggesting that "anything goes" when it comes to personalizing living spaces. Ocean blue has been identified as the standout color of the year, serving as a foundational hue from which other color choices can emanate and be adapted to individual preferences. The palette is broken down into various color families, each with specific recommendations for shades and décor styles. For blues, mid-toned shades reminiscent of clear skies and worn jeans are trending. These crisp and fresh blues, such as CIL's Hidden Harbor (70BG 32/238), are ideal for individuals with classic or traditional décor tastes, particularly when paired with light and dark greys and tans. In the red family, berry red continues its prominence, evoking images of ruby slippers, Valentine's Day, and lipstick. These energetic and glamorous reds, exemplified by CIL's Drum Beat (00YR/08 409*), are best suited for creating an opulent look and coordinate effectively with chocolate brown, cream, and tan. Orange tones are expected to soften in 2015, moving towards more livable shades that conjure up autumn leaves, pumpkins, and spices. CIL's Indian Summer (30YR 26/330) is highlighted as an ideal choice for bohemian-inclined tastes. These oranges work well as accent walls and can be brightened with sunny yellow or cooled down with ocean blue. Yellows in 2015 are predicted to be strong and dramatic, departing from the softer buttercream hues of the previous year. Vibrant yellows, such as CIL's Curry Spice (45YY 62/805*), are described as optimistic, akin to taxi cabs, sunflowers, or happy faces. This bold yellow is best used as a pop color in modernist settings, especially when combined with grey, white, and soft blue. Greens are making a notable entry into home décor with grey-toned pastel shades. CIL's Jade Frost (50GY 53/033) is presented as a soothing yet invigorating option, perfect for naturalists, imparting a modern, oceanic feel. These new greens are recommended for pairing with earth tones and wooden accents to enhance comfort in living spaces. Finally, violets will see lavender take center stage, focusing on soft pastels and delicate accents. This includes elements like silk fabrics, floral patterns, and vintage pieces, creating a dream décor for romantics. CIL's key violet for 2015 is Soft Wine (30RR 49/067 SE02). CIL Paint encourages consumers to explore these palettes and utilize virtual tools on their website to define their personal paint personality and make informed color choices for their homes. #CILPaint #ColorTrends2015 #HomeDécor #InteriorDesign #PaintColors #SelfExpression #DesignTrends #ColorPalette #HomeStyling #CILPaint #ColorTrends2015 #HomeDécor #InteriorDesign #PaintColors #SelfExpression #DesignTrends #ColorPalette #HomeStyling
