unilin panels' master oak design out-performs the real wood equivalent

Unilin Panels has unveiled new designs, prominently featuring the color-stable and textured matte Master Oak, a decorative panel that the company asserts surpasses the qualities of natural wood. This claim is grounded in Master Oak's superior durability compared to real wood, making it a compelling alternative for various applications. The new collection from Unilin comprises 222 distinct designs, with a particular emphasis on colors and matte textures that align with current interior design trends. Ann De Blanck, product manager, highlights that 128 designs from the previous collection have been retained, while 94 new ones have been introduced, including 27 refreshed designs with updated structures to incorporate contemporary matte finishes. Master Oak is available in five matte finishes, ranging from Natural to Double Fumed and Elegant Black. Alongside these, Unilin has introduced new scratch-resistant, color-stable lacquered MDF panels in a variety of fresh shades, as well as a selection of soft-hued textile finishes. The development of Master Oak involved extensive research and development to meticulously mimic the appearance and feel of natural oak. Caroline Van de Populiere, R&D Director, explains that the product's depth, sharpness, pores, and varying color intensity, coupled with its matte surface, contribute to its authentic oak-like qualities. Beyond its aesthetic appeal, Master Oak incorporates patented technologies that enhance its functionality. These technologies provide superior scratch and UV resistance, and also ensure ease of cleaning. The decorative panels are constructed from melamine-faced MDF and come with coordinating edge bands. They are characterized by their durability, scratch resistance, colorfastness, and antibacterial properties. Furthermore, the core material itself can also be colored, offering additional design flexibility. Unilin Panels emphasizes that designing durable materials from natural waste, such as Master Oak, represents a sustainable approach that allows natural resources to be preserved while still achieving high-quality finishes. The meticulous curation of the decorative range aims to provide architects and interior professionals with a versatile collection that meets both aesthetic and performance requirements for modern spaces. This new offering positions Master Oak not merely as an imitation, but as an enhanced alternative to natural oak, providing both visual fidelity and practical advantages in terms of longevity and maintenance. #UnilinPanels #MasterOak #DecorativePanels #InteriorDesign #MaterialInnovation #SustainableDesign #MatteFinishes #ScratchResistant #UVResistant #UnilinPanels #MasterOak #DecorativePanels #InteriorDesign #MaterialInnovation #SustainableDesign #MatteFinishes #ScratchResistant #UVResistant
