Design fees grew 11% since 2019 and 8% year-over-year. The value of furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&C) installed increased by 15% over the same period. The number of projects undertaken by these firms rose by 9% from 2022 to 2023, and more than doubled since 2019, reaching a total of 24,956 projects. This contrasts with the top 100 Giants, whose projects increased by only 13% in the same interval. Staffing trends also show a divergence. While the top 100 firms saw a 16% reduction in employees, Rising Giants experienced an equal percentage of staff growth, indicating a robust rebuilding phase after pandemic-related downsizing.
