Going All in With Millennial Design Talent Ryan Saghian

The article highlights the journey and design philosophy of Ryan Saghian, a millennial interior designer who has rapidly established himself in the industry. Saghian's career trajectory is compared to that of Kobe Bryant, emphasizing his early start and intense dedication to his craft, beginning with an internship at Woodson & Rummerfield House of Design during high school and subsequently earning a degree in Interior Architecture from the Art Institute of California. Saghian chose an unconventional path by launching his own design studio, Ryan Saghian Interiors, in his early twenties, utilizing social media to build his brand and client base. This strategic use of social media allowed him to overcome the traditional industry expectation for young designers to spend years under senior talent. His efforts led to significant recognition, including being the youngest recipient of the Interior Designer of the Year award by the city of Los Angeles, inclusion in the International LuxDeco Top 100 talents, and a feature on Bravo's Best Room Wins television show. Saghian's design aesthetic is characterized by a blend of Old Hollywood glamour and modern millennial energy, creating spaces that feel authentic and lived-in. His approach is deeply rooted in emotion and self-expression, evident in his diverse portfolio that encompasses not only interior spaces but also original furniture, wall treatments, rugs, and even a signature scented candle inspired by childhood memories. He articulates that creativity stems from the heart and intuition, aiming to infuse spaces with personal expression, which he identifies as the distinctive Ryan Saghian experience. His brand, Ryan Saghian Home, reflects his vision of integrating classic design elements into contemporary pieces. This collection draws inspiration from his extensive travels and exploration of thrift stores, flea markets, and trading posts. Saghian's ambition is to make his design accessible to a wider audience through his line of furnishings, wallpaper, and dinnerware, enabling individuals globally to incorporate his distinctive style into their homes. The article also touches upon Saghian's collaborative work, such as his handmade cork wallpaper collection for Bijou, which features gold glimmers and paint splashes reminiscent of Jackson Pollock's style. He is currently developing new, "more earthy" pieces for Moss, a renowned design and art emporium in Manhattan, alongside a new rug and signature tile collection. Despite these evolving tastes, Saghian maintains that black and white, a staple in his designs, will always remain timeless. Looking ahead, Saghian expresses a strong desire to expand his design influence into the hospitality sector, dreaming of designing hotels, restaurants, and bars that embody his signature style. #RyanSaghian #InteriorDesign #MillennialDesigner #OldHollywoodGlamour #ModernDesign #DesignEntrepreneurship #HomeFurnishings #DesignInnovation #LuxuryInteriors #RyanSaghian #InteriorDesign #MillennialDesigner #OldHollywoodGlamour #ModernDesign #DesignEntrepreneurship #HomeFurnishings #DesignInnovation #LuxuryInteriors
