Give your home a Moroccan vibe with Sainsbury’s

Sainsbury's has launched a new homeware collection named 'Moroccan Blue,' designed to infuse homes with an exotic and striking Moroccan aesthetic. This collection emphasizes bold geometric patterns, rich textures, and a classic blue and white color scheme, making it particularly suitable for summer decor. Andrew Tanner, Design Manager at Sainsbury's, highlights that the collection draws inspiration from Casablanca, incorporating prints and patterns from elaborate tile work, ikat, and batik fabrics. This diverse range of influences aims to provide beautiful ceramics inspired by decorative textiles commonly found in Moroccan souks. The 'Moroccan Blue' trend offers a fresh and vibrant approach to home decor, utilizing a timeless combination of midnight blue, crisp white, and dark teal. These colors are easily integrated into various home settings through a variety of vibrant prints and luxurious fabrics. Ombré designs, applied to both textiles and glass, are featured as a means to introduce immediate visual interest and depth to a room. To fully capture the Moroccan ambiance, the collection incorporates specific patterns and textures, such as lattice, diamond, and stripe motifs, alongside intricate embroidery, tassels, and detailed knits. These elements are available across a range of products, including cushions, throws, and bed linen, extending beyond soft furnishings to include decorative items like patterned vases, exquisitely carved wood boxes, frames, and latticed mirrors. Additionally, tiles with ethnic designs are suggested for creating striking feature walls in bedrooms, studies, or living rooms, further enhancing the exotic theme. Lighting plays a crucial role in establishing the desired atmosphere. The collection encourages pairing souk-style lanterns with romantic candles, placed within wirework candleholders. Grouping these lighting elements strategically on coffee tables or dressers can create captivating focal points within a space. The overall look can be perfected with smaller, detailed touches, such as ethnic-style crockery, geometric table runners, and Moroccan-inspired stationery. The article provides practical advice on how to integrate the 'Moroccan Blue' trend into different areas of the home. For the bedroom, it suggests combining geometric and ethnic patterned cushions with textured throws and embroidered bed linen to achieve a luxurious and exotic feel. In the living room, layering patterned cushions and throws in a deep blue and white palette is recommended, complemented by wire candleholders and ornate lanterns to build atmosphere. For dining areas, the collection offers Moroccan-patterned crockery, geometric cutlery, tinted glassware, and ombré placemats, all set against an ethnic runner, to create an exotic dining experience. Even workspaces can be updated with Moroccan-themed stationery and accessories, using patterned bowls and mugs for organization and elegant notebooks for stylish note-taking. Sainsbury's homeware collections, including the 'Moroccan Blue' range, can be explored further on their website. #MoroccanDecor #HomewareCollection #Sainsburys #BlueAndWhite #EthnicPrints #HomeInterior #TextileDesign #HomeAccessories #SummerStyle #MoroccanDecor #HomewareCollection #Sainsburys #BlueAndWhite #EthnicPrints #HomeInterior #TextileDesign #HomeAccessories #SummerStyle
