bold personalities are harmonized in FLEXFORM's 2020 indoor collection

The FLEXFORM 2020 indoor collection introduces a new system of seating and surface furnishings designed to create a welcoming and protective domestic environment, particularly relevant as individuals spend more time indoors. This collection integrates various elements, including sofas, armchairs, coffee tables, ottomans, tables, and chairs, each showcasing distinct personalities while collectively supporting a flexible lifestyle characterized by informal elegance. The designs are a collaborative effort, featuring contributions from Italian architect and designer Antonio Citterio, French designer Christophe Pillet, and FLEXFORM's in-house design team. Among the highlights is the Asolo sofa, designed by Antonio Citterio, which embodies FLEXFORM's signature style through its generous, well-balanced proportions and absence of sharp corners. Its comfort is enhanced by soft pieces and large, fluffy cushions filled with blown polyester fiber and goose down. The sofa is supported by a streamlined metal base with a silver-grey finish, and its couture upholstery can be customized with various fabrics or leathers from FLEXFORM’s collection. The armrest features elegant pleating, emphasizing attention to detail, making the Asolo sofa versatile for both classic and contemporary settings. FLEXFORM’s in-house design team developed the Pico dining and coffee tables, which combine visual lightness with dynamism. These tables feature cast aluminum legs that taper from a rounded top, available in multiple finishes. The top surfaces can be crafted from various marble types or wood veneers, such as Canaletto walnut and ash, offering numerous combinations of finishes for enhanced versatility. The Pico tables are available in a range of sizes, from dining tables to smaller coffee tables. The Tessa armchair, also by Antonio Citterio, presents a seemingly simple silhouette with underlying complexity, deliberately exposing its construction details to highlight traditional joinery and craftsmanship. Its structure is made from solid ash or turned Canaletto walnut, emphasizing the natural texture of the wood. The seat and backrest are intricately woven with delicate yet strong paper rush cord, a traditional material from rural Italy. Optional soft cushions, held in place by slender straps, complete its inviting character. The Tessa family extends to an ottoman, bench, and coffee table, with the latter available with various marble surfaces. The Gregory bed, another design by Antonio Citterio, features sophisticated construction details, including flawless proportions resting on a metal frame with cast aluminum feet available in several elegant finishes. A subtle contrast is introduced by cowhide straps in tobacco, dark brown, or black. The generously padded headboard ensures comfortable support, and its fabric or leather upholstery, which can be tone-on-tone or contrasting with grospain piping, is fully removable. The Joyce armchair and chair, developed by FLEXFORM's in-house design center, balance contemporary aesthetics with classicism. Their distinctive metal structure supports an enveloping shell crafted from metal and molded polyurethane, adding an intriguing aesthetic motif to the backrest. The metal base is offered in burnished or powder-coat white finishes, while the removable upholstery is available in any fabric or leather from FLEXFORM's collection. Completing the collection are the First Steps chair and stool, designed by Christophe Pillet. These pieces explore the essence of design through their simple forms, referencing archetypal chair objects. They feature a discreet metal structure and backrest, painted in white or burnished finishes, supporting tightly woven seats and backrests made from hand-made paper cord or paper rush cord, creating a distinct pattern upon closer inspection. The chair can be paired with a versatile bar stool. #FLEXFORM #IndoorCollection #FurnitureDesign #AntonioCitterio #ChristophePillet #HomeFurnishings #LuxuryFurniture #ItalianDesign #InteriorDesign #FLEXFORM #IndoorCollection #FurnitureDesign #AntonioCitterio #ChristophePillet #HomeFurnishings #LuxuryFurniture #ItalianDesign #InteriorDesign
