For this project, Hunt assembled a team of skilled artisans, including a stucco professional, plaster painter, metal smith, and cabinet maker, all committed to achieving the desired aged aesthetic. This commitment is evident in the custom cabinetry by Joe Michalski of Rosemount Woods, which features inset wood, exposed hinges, cup-shaped drawer pulls, and brass name plates, giving newly built cupboards the appearance of antiques. Similarly, Otto Painting Design created a unique hand-troweled patina for the plaster walls, further contributing to the home's historic feel. The home was also designed with the family's three boys in mind, incorporating child-friendly spaces. A miniature study hall with built-in desks and bookcases is situated outside their bedrooms, providing a homework area. The attic was transformed into a treehouse-like space, complete with a dedicated room for Legos. Another nook houses the family's guinea pigs, and bunk beds accommodate sleepovers. These elements ensure the reimagined cottage offers inspiring environments for both adults and children to thrive.
