Compare All the Paint Colors of the Year for 2023

The article showcases a selection of paint Colors of the Year for 2024 from various brands, offering insights into each color's inspiration and potential applications in home design. These colors range from vibrant and expressive to neutral and calming, reflecting diverse design trends and consumer preferences. Benjamin Moore's Color of the Year is Raspberry Blush, a saturated red-orange. Andrea Magno, Benjamin Moore’s color marketing and development director, explains that this choice reflects a movement towards warmer, more saturated colors, designed to encourage homeowners to step out of their comfort zones. It is ideal for an accent wall or a dining room and is part of a broader palette that includes shades like Conch Shell, Wenge, Cinnamon, New Age, Starry Night Blue, North Sea Green, and Savannah Green. Sherwin-Williams presents Redend Point, described by Sue Wadden, director of color marketing, as embodying warmth and empathy. This color aligns with a trend towards warming neutrals and earthy elements, as well as a focus on care culture. Wadden highlights its versatility, recommending it for entryways, dining rooms, or living rooms. Its 'cosmetic tone' also makes it suitable for bathrooms or bedrooms. For those hesitant to commit to a full room, Redend Point can be introduced through small accessories or painted lamps. Behr Paint Company's Blank Canvas is a warm white chosen to evoke a sense of renewal after a period of uncertainty. Erika Woelfel, vice president of color and services at Behr, notes its transformative power to provide a clean backdrop for endless design possibilities in 2023. Glidden's Color of the Year is Vining Ivy, a blue-green shade selected by over 30 color experts. Alyson Ferrari of PPG indicates that consumers are seeking simplicity and serenity post-COVID. Vining Ivy offers a luxurious, ultra-trendy feel that is both calming and energizing. It can be glamorized with golden accents and white trim or used as a teal accent wall or on kitchen cabinetry. For smaller spaces, it can serve as a bold contrast to a neutral palette. Dutch Boy Paints introduces Rustic Greige, a medium-toned neutral with a slight red undertone. Ashley Banbury, a senior color designer, explains that this color reflects a focus on well-being and the desire to create cozy, protected, and calm personal spaces. It is inspired by nature's tones and offers good coverage in one coat. C2 Paint's choice is Tiramisu, a rich, restorative cedar tone. Philippa Radon, Color and Design Specialist, emphasizes its connection to earthy elements and its ability to provide grounding and a sense of self in a digital world. Tiramisu is complemented by blackish Stout and nearly white En Pointe, forming an interconnected and interchangeable palette. Homeowners can mix these colors, using En Pointe as a primary color with Stout on woodwork and Tiramisu accents. Brighter accents like Harmonic blue or Peppermint green, or a soft pink like Rice Paper, can also be incorporated. Backdrop collaborated with Helena Barquet and Fabiana Faria of Coming Soon to select Color of the Year, a vibrant yellow-orange. Natalie Ebel, co-founder of Backdrop, describes it as playful and versatile, bringing warmth and vibrancy to any space. It pairs well with other warm tones in Backdrop's palette, such as Tan Lines, Pablo Honey, or Ghost Ranch. Graham & Brown's Alizarin is a deep, moody, yet warm auburn hue. Its selection was influenced by the 'Flawsome' trend, which focuses on recycling and rejuvenation, bringing beauty to upcycled and restored objects. Alizarin offers an agreeable alternative to gray and beige, capable of creating a cocooning effect in small spaces or an opulent feel in larger rooms. #PaintColorTrends #ColorOfTheYear #HomeDecor #InteriorDesign #PaintChoices #BenjaminMoore #SherwinWilliams #BehrPaint #Glidden #DutchBoyPaints #C2Paint #BackdropHome #GrahamAndBrown #PaintColorTrends #ColorOfTheYear #HomeDecor #InteriorDesign #PaintChoices #BenjaminMoore #SherwinWilliams #BehrPaint #Glidden #DutchBoyPaints #C2Paint #BackdropHome #GrahamAndBrown
