After a near miss with a desirable furnished four-bedroom, which she describes as a 'heartbreaker' due to its fast sale and less-than-ideal location near the airport, Brown ultimately settled on a 1,300-square-foot, three-bedroom bungalow. This property was part of her top-five list and became her new home in the Sonoran Desert city she had long admired. Brown, originally from New York and residing in a Los Angeles rental, had considered owning property in Palm Springs for several years after a friend's birthday trip. The bungalow appealed to her because it was essentially turnkey. Given the prevalent construction delays during the pandemic, she sought to avoid extensive renovation projects. Although the home was furnished, the existing decor was described as a "big-box retailer situation." Brown quickly orchestrated an "instant flip" by selling most of the original furnishings through Facebook Marketplace before moving in. Her vintage collection from a storage unit was moved in the following day, immediately transforming the space.
