charred wood siding enfolds single-family house near warsaw by kruk architekci

Kruk Architekci designed the MP_II House in Poland as a discreet retreat, emphasizing integration with its natural environment. The residential project features a low-rise structure, clad in charred wood siding, strategically positioned amidst surrounding trees. Its L-shaped layout effectively delineates and separates the home's daytime living areas from its private spaces, ensuring privacy for the residents. A skylight, mirroring the L-shaped design, introduces gentle, diffused light into the interior, enhancing the connection with the outdoors while maintaining a sense of seclusion. Key architectural elements include the extension of eaves beyond the main volume, providing shelter for a terrace directly adjacent to the living room. This design choice by Kruk Architekci studio blurs the distinction between the interior and exterior environments, facilitated further by expansive sliding glass doors. These doors can be opened to create a seamless flow between the indoor living space and the outdoor terrace. Wooden pillars support the extended overhang, contributing to the structure’s harmonious integration into the natural surroundings and reinforcing its earthy aesthetic. The charred wood siding chosen for the exterior provides an organic and rustic touch, further connecting the architecture with its natural setting. This material not only adds to the aesthetic appeal but also contributes to the house's overall environmental integration. The design intentionally creates a subtle boundary between the constructed environment and the natural landscape, promoting a sense of tranquility and connection to nature. The MP_II House is conceived as a private enclave, embodying the essence of peaceful living within a natural Polish landscape. Project details include the name MP_II House, with Kruk Architekci as the architect, located in Mazowieckie, Poland. Photography was provided by Nate Cook. The project was submitted through designboom's DIY submissions feature, which allows readers to share their work for publication. The design aims to provide a functional and aesthetically pleasing residence that is deeply rooted in its context, offering a contemporary approach to living in harmony with nature through thoughtful material selection and layout planning. The choice of charred wood siding is a deliberate design decision that supports both the visual and conceptual integration of the house within its forested plot. #KrukArchitekci #ResidentialArchitecture #CharredWood #Poland #EcoFriendlyDesign #ModernHome #ArchitecturalIntegration #SingleFamilyHouse #NaturalLiving #KrukArchitekci #ResidentialArchitecture #CharredWood #Poland #EcoFriendlyDesign #ModernHome #ArchitecturalIntegration #SingleFamilyHouse #NaturalLiving
