Juniper Expands Upon Their Contemporary Lighting Collections
Juniper, a prominent design and manufacturing studio from Brooklyn, continues to innovate in the contemporary lighting sector by introducing new products and updates to its existing lines. The company is set to unveil the Axis X Vertical Suspension, a fresh interpretation of their 2018 Axis Collection, alongside four additional lighting fixtures that draw inspiration from Juniper's signature THIN system.
The Axis Collection, conceived by Miren Lasnier, is recognized for its modular design that skillfully blends form and light. Its inspiration is rooted in the enduring elements of the Industrial Revolution. The new Axis X Vertical Suspension enriches this collection by offering a distinct orientation, characterized by a dynamic silhouette. Available in lengths of 36 and 48 inches, its body is crafted from either solid bronze or wood. This piece integrates four light sources and features dimming capabilities, making it suitable for both commercial and residential environments.
Building on the success of their THIN System, Juniper has developed the Rail modular system specifically for outdoor applications. This water-resistant system boasts a discreet and minimalist design, featuring a 1/2-inch aluminum body. The Rail system is an ideal luxury lighting solution for commercial outdoor spaces, as well as for accentuating architectural details and signage.
Further extending the THIN system, Juniper introduces the THIN Multiples Triad and Tetrad Vertical Suspension fixtures. These designs translate the THIN concept into ultra-thin linear LED lighting, offering a versatile solution for various settings including hospitality, office spaces, and homes. Each fixture comprises three or four light segments, clustered by two solid brass straps, providing a concentrated and adjustable light display. The LED light segments are magnetically connected and fully rotatable, allowing for flexible illumination.
In collaboration with Peter Bristol, the THIN Primaries Octagon joins the THIN Primaries collection. This piece represents Juniper's largest pendant to date, featuring a bold geometric form achieved with slender LED arrays. The Octagon can be expanded, stacked, or clustered to form elaborate lighting installations. Another addition from the THIN collection, also designed by Peter Bristol, is the THIN Vertical Suspension. This minimalist and timeless piece, crafted from a single line, offers flexibility for individual hanging or can be customized into clustered arrangements with varying drop heights, catering to diverse aesthetic and functional requirements.
