Poul Olson acquired his unit in City View Lofts, Atlanta, in 2015 with the intention of undertaking a comprehensive remodel to align the space with his personal aesthetic preferences. The renovation project involved gutting the kitchen, remodeling both bathrooms, replacing the original flooring, and, more recently, installing new walnut stair treads, which Olson personally stained. He sought the expertise of an interior designer from Chosen Interiors to help articulate a vision for the loft that blended modern and industrial styles with a grayscale color palette. The loft, spanning 990 square feet, features one bedroom and one-and-a-half bathrooms.
