Samsung Bespoke Kitchen Colorfully Expands Palette Range
Samsung has introduced a significant update to its Bespoke appliance line, specifically targeting kitchen aesthetics with an expanded range of customizable colors and finishes. This initiative, unveiled as part of CES 2022 announcements, aims to provide consumers with alternatives to traditional monochromatic or metallic kitchen designs, allowing for a more personalized and vibrant home environment. The core of this expansion revolves around the Bespoke French Door refrigerator, which now serves as the focal point for integrated Samsung kitchen packages. These packages include a suite of appliances such as dishwashers, ranges, and over-the-range microwaves, all available in coordinated white, navy, or green finishes.
The latest update to the Bespoke refrigerators introduces three-door, four-door, and Family Hub model configurations, catering to diverse household sizes and needs. A key highlight is the broadened palette of 12 colors and two finishes—glass and steel—available for these refrigerators. The glass finish options encompass White, Gray, Pink, Charcoal, Morning Blue, Clementine, and Sunrise Yellow, offering a bright and modern selection. For those preferring a steel aesthetic, colors include Tuscan, Matte Black, Navy, Emerald Green, and Stainless Steel, providing a more robust and sophisticated appearance. This extensive customization reflects Samsung's broader corporate strategy, led by Kanghyup Lee, Executive Vice President and Head of Sales and Marketing of the Digital Appliances Business, to empower consumers with greater choice in personalizing their electronics, a philosophy also seen in products like the Galaxy Z Flip3 Bespoke Studio smartphones.
Beyond visual customization, Samsung has enhanced its smart home capabilities with an upgraded AI-driven Family Hub technology. This feature integrates a large vertical tablet display into the refrigerator, functioning as a central command unit for the kitchen. Users can leverage it for communication, information retrieval, web browsing, and monitoring various aspects of their home through Samsung's SmartThings ecosystem. The Family Hub now offers improved planning tools, scheduling functions, and To Do lists, consolidating essential household management features in one accessible location. Additionally, Samsung has expanded voice assistant options, allowing users to choose between Amazon Alexa and Samsung’s proprietary Bixby, thereby increasing flexibility and user convenience.
The Bespoke refrigerator lineup now includes the Bespoke 4-Door Flex, Bespoke 2-Door Bottom Freezer, and a compact Bespoke 1-Door Flex Column, ensuring a suitable option for different kitchen layouts and storage requirements. The new Bespoke French Door refrigerator, available in both full and counter-depth models, is specifically designed to meet the demands of households needing larger capacities. While specific pricing details are yet to be released, the bespoke nature and advanced features suggest a premium market positioning. This expansion not only signifies Samsung's commitment to combining technology with personalized design but also offers consumers an unprecedented level of aesthetic control over their kitchen appliances, enabling them to create spaces that truly reflect individual style.
