Marble Lab tile collection by Fiandre Architectural Surfaces
Fiandre Architectural Surfaces has expanded its Marble Lab collection of ceramic tiles, which are designed to mimic the appearance of highly sought-after varieties of natural stone. The collection now features twelve distinct colors, with recent additions including Dark Marquina and Atlantic Grey. Dark Marquina is inspired by the black Spanish marble, characterized by its delicate white veining, while Atlantic Grey offers a blend of grey and cream tones. These new shades complement existing options such as Arabescato Orobico, which is noted for its intricate patterns of white, grey, brown, and ochre, described by Fiandre as a highlight of the collection.
The Marble Lab tiles are available in three different sizes, including traditional and large-format options, providing versatility for various design applications. Customers can choose between a polished or semi-polished finish for most of the collection. Additionally, three colors—Calacatta Statuario, Pietra Grey, and Premium White—are offered with a matt anti-slip finish. This specialized finish makes these tiles particularly suitable for use in environments prone to moisture, such as bathrooms and showers, as well as covered outdoor areas like terraces and sun decks.
From a manufacturing perspective, these tiles are designed with a slim profile, measuring only eight millimeters in thickness. This reduced thickness contributes to a more energy-efficient production process compared to traditional tile manufacturing. Furthermore, the thinner design allows for more efficient transportation, as it requires less space, which can lead to reduced logistical costs and environmental impact. The Marble Lab collection aims to provide a sophisticated and practical solution for surfaces, combining aesthetic appeal with functional benefits and manufacturing considerations.
