The most stylish hotel takeovers to pop up at this summer
This summer, luxury fashion and lifestyle brands are extending their presence from urban fashion capitals to prominent coastal resorts across Europe, transforming these hotels into exclusive brand experiences. This trend involves the creation of bespoke pop-up boutiques, signature themed lounge areas, and often, unique culinary offerings. The collaborations aim to immerse guests in the brands' aesthetics, offering exclusive products and services in stunning seaside locations.
Burberry has established a significant presence at The Standard, Ibiza, until October. The hotel's rooftop bar and restaurant, Up, has been rebranded with Burberry's bespoke yellow check pattern, adorning loungers, parasols, and seating. The collaboration also features a photo booth in the lobby and weekly DJ nights with a curated cocktail menu. Additionally, a summer capsule collection of swimwear, sunglasses, and hats is available for purchase, designed for warm days and balmy nights in Ibiza.
Dioriviera returns for its fifth year to Jumeirah Capri Palace's seafood restaurant, Il Riccio. Situated amidst Anacapri’s rocky cliffs near the Blue Grotto, the setting is decorated with Dior’s Toile de Jouy pattern and animal statues. Guests can enjoy limoncello spritzes on the beach club terrace or dine on Mediterranean dishes, including spaghettino with sea urchins. A Dior boutique pop-up on-site offers a summer-ready wardrobe.
Dolce & Gabbana has taken over the pool area of the Four Seasons Hotel Taormina, a property famous for its appearance in 'The White Lotus.' The bespoke Blu Mediterraneo theme, inspired by Sicilian ceramics and vibrant seaside blues, adorns parasols, cushions, and towels. The activation includes an exclusive pop-up boutique featuring clothing and accessories, some unique to the location, providing a complete immersion into the Dolce & Gabbana universe.
Herno has partnered with Phi Beach in Baja Sardinia for the second consecutive summer, focusing on sophisticated outdoor living. The collaboration features cabanas and deckchairs in sandy and deep brown tones. Herno has also introduced its first fully designed restaurant, Herno Suite, offering dishes on ceramics inspired by the Erno River. The brand emphasizes natural aesthetics and sustainability, with items like bill holders and menus made from natural cork. A selection of 'open-air accessories' such as beach towels and tote bags is available for purchase.
Jacquemus has collaborated with the Monte-Carlo Beach Club, which underwent a redesign by Dorothée Delaye. Inspired by 'La Croisière' collection, the takeover features sunbeds, towels, and parasols in banana-yellow, coconut milk, and black stripes. This theme extends to the adjacent Pool Café and two new Jacquemus boutiques showcasing sketches by Renoir and Matisse.
Louis Vuitton has returned to the White 1921 Saint-Tropez hotel for the third year with the Arnaud Donckele & Maxime Frédéric at Louis Vuitton restaurant. Michelin-starred chef Arnaud Donckele and chef pâtissier Maxime Frédéric offer a menu spotlighting local, seasonal produce. The restaurant's interior features natural macramé and rattan, with tables set with seasonal Louis Vuitton tableware adorned with the Monogram Flower.
Missoni has established a pop-up store and a branded poolside lounge at the JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa on Isola delle Rose. The brand's signature zig-zag motif and cheerful, multicoloured hues are central to an exclusive collection of men's and women's beachwear. The store’s design incorporates a serene blend of blue, azure, warm ochres, and beige, welcoming visitors with a large-scale bunny.
Alo Yoga has brought its lifestyle brand to the Mandarin Oriental Bodrum's private shoreline. This includes a new boutique, an immersive beach club experience, and wellness workshops. The beach setup features branded cotton towels and seating in an earthy hue, complemented by a custom cart serving refreshments in coconut cups. International Alo instructors lead a wellness program with sunrise yoga, pilates, sound healing, and meditation sessions.
