These fully customizable kitchens are modular, minimal and timeless
Reform, a Danish brand, offers a distinctive design language for kitchens characterized by sleek lines and a myriad of combinations in finishes and modules. Founded in Copenhagen in 2014 by Jeppe Christensen and Michael Andersen, Reform merges carpentry and engineering expertise to create custom-made kitchens that are accessible to a broader audience. The company collaborates with internationally acclaimed architects and designers, including Muller Van Severen, Note Design Studio, David Thulstrup, Norm Architects, Cecilie Manz, Sigurd Larsen, Lendager Group, Bjarke Ingles Group, and Christina Meyer Bengtsson, to bring their vision to life.
Reform’s kitchen designs prioritize modernity and minimalism, offering high-quality materials and extensive customization options. Their design process places the user at the forefront, addressing diverse needs and applications through a growing network of physical showrooms in major cities like Copenhagen, New York, and Berlin. The core of Reform's design is a modular cabinet system crafted from high-quality materials, allowing for tailored solutions that maximize storage and workspace in any given area. These cabinets feature an innovative, patented clicking technology that ensures quick and effortless on-site assembly, matching the durability of screw-assembled counterparts. Reform utilizes premium materials such as solid wood and sturdy steel, incorporating BLUM’s high-quality rails capable of supporting up to 40 kilos, along with soft-close and optional push-open functionalities for drawers.
The aesthetic of Reform’s kitchens is rooted in Scandinavian minimalism, designed for timeless appeal. The cabinets are available in black, white, and oak laminate, enabling seamless integration into various interior styles. Finish options include natural or smoked oak and ash, as well as laminated chipboard in white or black for the steel option, providing harmonious, sleek surfaces devoid of excessive ornamentation. This approach aims to create a lasting design expression of the new millennium.
Reform has established a clear design process for its clients. The initial stage involves presenting a wide array of choices, allowing clients to select based on their daily living needs, with functionality being the primary consideration. Subsequently, clients choose their preferred design from a diverse range of materials, customizing every detail to their specific preferences. To aid in this decision-making, Reform provides a 3D visualization tool, enabling clients to interact with and visualize their proposed kitchen designs. Once the design and quote are approved, the final kitchen is delivered and installed.
The kitchen, often regarded as the heart of a home, plays a vital role in daily life and human interaction, extending its significance to offices, retail stores, and commercial spaces. Reform's ambition to redefine this crucial interior design element is realized through a modern and enduring design language. By combining elegantly clean aesthetics with carefully selected materials, the brand offers a versatile range of outputs suitable for both domestic and commercial environments. Reform successfully enhances the modularity concept, reminiscent of brands like IKEA, by incorporating high-quality materials and a timeless aesthetic, ensuring their kitchens remain fresh and functional for years to come. This approach aims to elevate daily routines and provide a harmonious living experience.
