Minimalist interior doors from Lualdi feature on Dezeen Showroom
Italian brand Lualdi has unveiled a collection of minimalist pivot and swing doors on Dezeen Showroom, featuring various materials like glass, carved wood, and woven leather. These doors are designed to seamlessly integrate into interior spaces, offering both aesthetic appeal and functional innovation.
The Compass 55, a pivot door with a 55-millimetre-thick panel set in an aluminium frame, provides a dramatic visual effect. Instead of traditional hinges, it pivots, creating an impression likened to a "large, silent stage curtain." This door model is available in multiple finishes, including oak and Canaletto walnut veneer, as well as matte or glossy lacquer paints, allowing for diverse interior applications.
Another offering, the Rasomuro 55s, is engineered for seamless integration with walls. It features concealed hinges and an invisible aluminium door jamb, enabling it to blend into its surroundings. Lualdi describes the Rasomuro 55s as an architectural element that facilitates movement between spaces through an "elusive, exclusive and almost immaterial design."
The Rasoline 55s door also sits flush with the wall, distinguishing itself by allowing different materials to be applied to each side, catering to the specific aesthetic requirements of adjoining rooms. It is further enhanced with decorative metal edging, offered in natural aluminium, matte black, matte white, and bronze finishes, adding a subtle touch of sophistication.
For those seeking transparency and brightness, the Rasovetro 55s door incorporates glazed panels in both classic and back-lacquered finishes. Lualdi emphasizes that this door celebrates the inherent qualities of glass, developing its originality through its clean and luminous material properties.
The Altaj door, a collaboration with Italian design studio SBGA Blengini Ghirardelli, features a distinctive design where the door panel protrudes from a decorative bronze aluminium outline, generating subtle depth and shadow. Its central panel can be customized with various materials, such as back-painted glass, woven leather, or wood veneer with carved patterns.
Lualdi, established in 1860, is an Italian brand specializing in bespoke doors and furnishings for residential, business, and hotel interiors. The company's focus is on creating high-quality, innovative products that enhance everyday living and working environments.
