CRL | Shower Door Thresholds
Architectural showering manufacturer CRL has introduced new, co-ordinating Shower Door Thresholds, expanding the design possibilities of its shower systems. These snap-in aluminium thresholds, measuring 2.4m in length, are specifically designed for use with SDCD38 U Channels. The thresholds can be strategically installed both underneath and above fixed shower panels, enabling the U Channel to serve as a continuous frame. This design allows the threshold to extend across door openings, a critical feature for preventing water leakage from the shower area. This innovation enhances both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of frameless shower screens.
The new Shower Door Thresholds are available in a diverse palette of six colours: Matte Black, Brite Anodised, Polished Nickel, Brushed Nickel, Satin Brass, and Brite Gold Anodised. This range of finishes ensures that the thresholds can seamlessly complement CRL's existing bespoke, frameless shower screen offerings, allowing for greater customization and integration with various bathroom aesthetics. The release of these thresholds follows CRL's previous launch of the Serenity Deluxe Shower Door, indicating a continuous effort by the company to innovate and expand its product lines within the showering sector.
In related product developments within the home improvement industry, sintered stone manufacturer Neolith has unveiled new surfaces, Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset. These designs draw inspiration from natural elements and classical architecture. Calacatta Roma evokes the appearance of Italian Carrara marble, featuring ochre and grey veins set against a white background, reminiscent of Ancient Rome. Cappadocia Sunset, on the other hand, is inspired by the volcanic rock formations and subterranean cities of Turkey's Cappadocia region. These new surfaces are suitable for a wide array of applications, including kitchen and bathroom walls, floors, gardens, and building facades. Both Calacatta Roma and Cappadocia Sunset are part of Neolith's New Classtone and Fusion collections, respectively, which reinterpret marble and natural stone aesthetics. A key feature of these products is Neolith’s antibacterial NeolEAT technology. Consistent with all Neolith surfaces, these new offerings are designed to be resistant to heat and various atmospheric conditions, are 100% recyclable, and do not incorporate added quartz in their composition, underscoring a commitment to durability, sustainability, and health.
