Parachute’s First Foray Into Bedroom Furniture Is a Dream Come True
Parachute, a bedding brand known for its high-quality, cozy, and comfortable products, has officially launched its inaugural line of bed frames. This new collection introduces three upholstered styles: Canyon, Horizon, and Dune. Each bed frame is meticulously handmade, featuring fully padded hardwood framing, reinforced joinery, and tailored upholstery, reflecting the brand’s commitment to quality and comfort. The collection is designed entirely in-house, drawing inspiration from Parachute's hometown of Los Angeles.
The expansion into home furnishings marks a significant step for Parachute, with more furniture pieces anticipated to launch in early 2022. Ariel Kaye, cofounder and CEO of Parachute, noted that customers have long requested suitable bed frames to complement their bedrooms. As industry experts in textiles, the company aimed to offer its unique perspective on furniture design, making an upholstered collection a natural starting point.
Each of the three bed frames in the collection offers distinct design elements influenced by Californian landscapes:
The Canyon bed frame, which includes an optional footboard, is inspired by the winding curves of Laurel Canyon. Its design aims to create a feeling of being embraced, offering a cozy and comforting experience.
The Dune bed frame draws its aesthetic from the Mojave Desert landscape. It features a split-back design, emphasizing clean symmetry and a modern silhouette. This frame also provides lumbar support, making it suitable for activities like bedtime reading or relaxing on Sunday mornings.
The Horizon bed frame, also available with an optional footboard, evokes the soft curvature and simple lines reminiscent of sunrises over Venice Beach. Its design focuses on clean lines and a straightforward silhouette, contributing to a serene bedroom environment.
Customers have a variety of upholstery options to choose from, including a linen-cotton blend available in charcoal, oyster, or oatmeal. Additionally, washed linen options in natural, light gray, and cream are offered, alongside a faux-shearling fabric for a cozier feel. The bed frames come with Parachute’s white glove service, which includes assembly upon request, enhancing the customer experience. The collection is available for purchase online and can be viewed at the brand’s brick-and-mortar stores, providing both convenience and the opportunity for in-person evaluation.
