To satisfy her 'tile habit' without breaking the bank, the author has devised a creative, temporary solution: tiling the kitchen windowsill. She plans to use colorful, handcrafted Mexican tiles from Milagros, drawn to a minty green crackle-surfaced, antique-looking option. This small-scale project involves painting the existing dark brown woodwork in a pea green eggshell finish and then tiling the windowsill.
