The design objective was to create a coastal, "at home" feeling for patients, reflecting the relaxed atmosphere of the Sunshine Coast. The project utilized beach-inspired materials and elements, including light blues, sandy wood colors, soft greys, and fresh whites, to achieve a natural and stress-free environment. Upon entering, patients are greeted by an open-concept reception area designed to be fresh and contemporary. The administration desk is strategically placed for staff accessibility, offering a welcoming presence without appearing as a barrier. The entrance features ample space for personal belongings, seamlessly guiding patients into the office's flow. Recognizing the common discomfort associated with waiting rooms, Emerge Design focused on creating an open and inviting space that evokes the peace of a family home. A significant area is dedicated to children, allowing them to play and interact.
