Meet Sabrina DeMonica

Sabrina DeMonica and Emily Robinson, two Florida Natives, co-founded Hippie Beach Boutique, a business that emerged from their individual crafting endeavors. Emily, with 'Reel Native,' specialized in ocean-inspired fishing gear and handmade home decor crafted from items found in the ocean. Sabrina, through 'Sweet Dreams by Sabrina D.,' created colorful dream catchers and offered henna. Their combined presence at local events led them to realize the synergy of their artistic styles, culminating in the creation of Hippie Beach Boutique. The boutique caters to those with a "hippie at heart" aesthetic and a love for the ocean, offering unique artwork daily, including coastal decor, driftwood art, dream catchers, Bohemian wall creations, and henna tattoos. They also provide custom orders and host creation classes, such as DIY dreamcatcher and ornament making workshops. Emily, a mother of three and a business owner with her family's company, East Coast Water Works, initiated her journey into ocean-inspired art when she struggled to find suitable ornaments for her first home. This led her to create her own holiday ornaments and unique driftwood pieces collected from local beaches. Sabrina, on the other hand, believes in the healing power of dreams and uses dreamcatcher creation as a meditative practice. She focuses on weaving with positive, healing energy to ensure that only beneficial dreams and positive energy are delivered to the recipient. Sabrina learned the craft from her sister-in-law, Jessi, and has since become a regular vendor at South Florida's craft and art events, also teaching dreamcatcher creation classes. The primary method for client acquisition for Hippie Beach Boutique is direct engagement at local events across Fort Lauderdale and Jupiter, Florida. This face-to-face interaction allows Emily and Sabrina to connect personally with the community and discuss their products and services. Beyond local events, social media and online marketing efforts for new items listed on their website, www.hippiebeachboutique.com, extend their reach to a broader geographical audience. Word-of-mouth referrals also play a significant role in attracting new clients. Emily and Sabrina's partnership evolved from an acquaintance made in high school in the 1990s. Their connection deepened in 2010 when Sabrina, seeking new living arrangements, became a roommate with Emily's brother. This proximity fostered their friendship. Emily, who had recently launched Reel Native, hosted events for women-owned businesses, providing Sabrina an opportunity to showcase her Sweet Dreams by Sabrina D. creations. After several years of vending independently, they recognized that their distinct artistic styles complemented each other. Emily’s ocean and beach-inspired decor harmonized with Sabrina’s bohemian dream catchers and art. Sabrina's artistic approach is described as whimsical, free-flowing, and carefree, contrasting with Emily's pursuit of perfection and balance. This blend of styles is seen as perfectly complementary, making Hippie Beach Boutique a destination for those who appreciate both bohemian aesthetics and the beauty of the beach. #SabrinaDeMonica #EmilyRobinson #HippieBeachBoutique #HandmadeDecor #Dreamcatchers #CoastalArt #LocalArtisans #CreativeBusiness #BohemianStyle #SabrinaDeMonica #EmilyRobinson #HippieBeachBoutique #HandmadeDecor #Dreamcatchers #CoastalArt #LocalArtisans #CreativeBusiness #BohemianStyle
