Luxury yacht kitchens are nautical but nicer thanks to Officine Gullo
Italian luxury kitchen brand Officine Gullo has introduced its Nautical Collection of yacht kitchens, aiming to transform the typically compact and utilitarian yacht galley into a central, social hub. The brand, known for its metal-crafted kitchens, showcased this collection at Milan Design Week 2025. The core idea behind the Nautical Collection is to extend the concept of the kitchen as the heart of the home to the maritime environment, fostering conviviality and connection even at sea. This innovative approach moves beyond traditional space constraints, introducing features like islands for breakfast, bar counters for aperitifs, and cooking stations designed as gathering places.
The collection emphasizes versatility, offering full kitchen and bar configurations alongside modular elements that allow for custom layouts. Clients can personalize countertops, cabinetry, and walls with a range of appliances and amenities, including wine cellars, refrigerators, ice makers, glass washers, dishwashers, coffee machines, and cocktail stations. Officine Gullo has meticulously considered material selection, utilizing AISI 316 stainless steel for its exceptional resistance to corrosion, a crucial factor in marine environments. This robust material is then finished in bespoke colors and accented with polished chrome, combining durability with luxury aesthetics.
The Nautical Collection features three distinct design concepts, each tailored for different preferences and spatial requirements. The first, Ocean Flow, is available in both indoor and outdoor versions. The indoor iteration boasts a 'vanilla frost' matte finish with chrome accents, centered around an island bar with cantilevered seating. This bar integrates an ice basin, bottle and tool storage, a coffee machine, and refrigerated wine columns, creating a comprehensive social and functional area. The outdoor Ocean Flow shifts to a 'cappuccino' tone, incorporating an Arabescato Corchia marble countertop, a professional barbecue, an integrated sink, drawers, and wine storage, making it ideal for al fresco dining and entertaining.
The second concept, Timeless Tide, presents a sophisticated matte grey palette complemented by chrome finishes and Nero Marquina marble. This design features a dedicated tasting island that thoughtfully separates the cooking zone from a marble panel, which is further enhanced by eco-leather stools and Officine Gullo lamps, setting a refined atmosphere. The working area is well-equipped with a double barbecue, a refrigerator, a freezer, an oven, a glass washer, and a sink. Additionally, it includes fun, mobile elements like cocktail and cheese carts, adding a touch of interactive luxury.
Lastly, Sundeck Retreat is specifically designed for cooking and convivial gatherings on the yacht's flybridge. This U-shaped hospitality island is finished in a serene matte blue and topped with Cristallo Traslux marble, offering ample seating for guests. It is equipped with a double barbecue, a maxi burner, an integrated sink, large refrigerators, display cabinets, and a dedicated cocktail space, ensuring a premium experience in an open-air setting. Through these collections, Officine Gullo extends its legacy of Italian excellence to the sea, successfully merging advanced technology, ergonomic design, and high aesthetics to elevate the yacht kitchen experience.
