Lick launches new Supreme Ultra Flat Matt paint that's scrub resistant
Lick, a prominent luxury retailer for premium paints, has introduced its new ‘Supreme’ Ultra Flat Matt paint range, designed for comprehensive home renovation and redecoration projects. This new collection expands upon Lick's existing offerings, providing a high-performance paint with the flattest matt finish available in the market. The Supreme range is distinguished by its moisture-resistant technology and a Class 1 Scrub Rating, ensuring exceptional durability. This makes the paint particularly suitable for high-traffic areas and rooms prone to dampness, such as kitchens and bathrooms.
The Supreme paint is versatile and can be applied to multiple surfaces, including walls, ceilings, woodwork, skirting boards, and radiators, eliminating the need for different paint types for various materials. The range is available in over 100 signature Lick colours, each formulated with strong pigments to deliver depth, even in a flat matt finish. The paint’s ultra-flat matt finish is described as soft and velvet-like, effectively concealing surface imperfections like wall bumps and window ledge irregularities, thereby contributing to a neat, uniform, and sleek aesthetic within a room.
Tash Bradley, Lick’s Director of Interior Design, highlights the paint’s suitability for diverse applications, particularly for the emerging trend of colour drenching, where all surfaces in a room—walls, woodwork, ceilings, and radiators—are painted in a single colour. Bradley also notes that the paint supports adventurous colour choices in kitchens and bathrooms, spaces traditionally characterized by minimalist designs and brilliant whites. Its resistance to wear and tear and moisture-resistant properties make it ideal for these demanding environments.
The Class 1 Scrub Rating, the highest under ISO 11998, signifies the paint's ability to endure frequent cleaning without compromising colour integrity or causing fading. This feature underscores its suitability for busy households, including those with children and pets. Beyond its performance attributes, Lick emphasizes its commitment to sustainability. The paints have a low odour and minimal Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs), contributing positively to indoor air quality. As a B Corp-certified company, Lick also operates with an eco-conscious ethos, being the first made-to-order paint company to eliminate waste in its production process. A 2.5-litre tin of Supreme paint is priced at £49, with samples available for £2.
