Deep Connections fabric by HBF Textiles

The Deep Connections fabric collection, created by HBF Textiles, reinterprets natural colors and textures, moving beyond conventional organic designs. This collection is presented through Dezeen Showroom, highlighting its innovative approach to textile design. Mary Jo Miller, Vice-President of Design and Creative Direction at HBF Textiles, led the creation of this range, focusing on developing distinctive surface textures and patterns. The collection currently features three primary fabric styles: Agate Stripe, Moody Moss, and Tessellations. Agate Stripe is characterized by its velvet texture and multicolored stripes. These stripes vary in thickness and draw their color palette from the diverse hues found in natural agate stones. This design aims to mimic the geological patterns and layered appearances observed in these minerals, translating them into a tactile and visually engaging fabric. Moody Moss offers a different textural experience with its pin-curled surface. This design is specifically engineered to evoke the dense, soft feel and appearance of moss carpets found in forested environments. The texture is intended to bring a natural, earthy element into interior spaces, providing both visual depth and a unique haptic quality. Completing the collection, Tessellations features a tightly woven pattern that, upon closer inspection, reveals a complex interplay of different shapes and colors. This design draws inspiration from tessellating geometric patterns, creating a visually intricate and dynamic surface that can add a sophisticated touch to various applications. The detailed patterning allows for a rich visual experience, where individual elements combine to form a larger, cohesive design. Mary Jo Miller emphasizes that the collection's core lies in its ability to play with light and shade, using both vibrant color pops and deep, moody hues. This strategic use of color and texture results in fabrics that possess a wave-like depth, creating a multi-dimensional character. The fabrics are designed not only for their aesthetic appeal but also for their tactile properties, ensuring that they contribute to the overall sensory experience of a space. A significant aspect of the Deep Connections collection is its commitment to sustainability and health. All fabrics within the range are free from chemicals listed on the Living Building Challenge Red List. This ensures that the textiles are environmentally friendly and safe for indoor use, aligning with modern demands for sustainable and healthy building materials. The collection's release through Dezeen Showroom underscores its positioning as a contemporary and responsible option for interior design professionals and enthusiasts. #Textiles #Fabric #HBFTextiles #InteriorDesign #SustainableMaterials #PatternDesign #ProductDesign #DezeenShowroom #Textiles #Fabric #HBFTextiles #InteriorDesign #SustainableMaterials #PatternDesign #ProductDesign #DezeenShowroom
