Get Ready For The Racetrack With Designtex’s Vibrant Fabrics

Designtex introduces a new collection of vibrant indoor/outdoor fabrics, "Racetrack," "Emblem," and "Convene," designed to bring a fresh aesthetic to interior spaces. These textiles draw inspiration from classic patterns and textures, offering a blend of luxury and durability. The "Racetrack" fabric is a standout, featuring alternating solid-colored plush velvet stripes with black-and-white-check strips. This design evokes the imagery of a final-lap flag, often seen in motor racing, giving it a dynamic and energetic feel. The checked strips are produced with a raffia-style texture, adding an element of natural sophistication to the material. This combination of plush velvet and textured raffia creates a tactile and visually engaging textile suitable for various applications. Complementing "Racetrack" is "Emblem," a polypropylene upholstery fabric characterized by a small-scale checkered basketweave. This material is crafted from tapelike nylon, a technique borrowed from the fashion industry, which gives it a refined yet robust quality. Like "Racetrack," "Emblem" also mimics the appearance of natural raffia, providing a cohesive aesthetic when used in conjunction with the other fabrics in the collection. Its durability makes it ideal for high-traffic areas, while its intricate weave adds a layer of design interest. The collection is completed by "Convene," a Sunbrella solution-dyed acrylic-polyester fabric. "Convene" features a distinctive hexagonal motif, subtly integrated with a pinstripe pattern. This fabric leverages the renowned performance characteristics of Sunbrella, offering exceptional fade resistance, durability, and ease of maintenance, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. The hexagonal pattern adds a modern geometric touch, while the pinstripe provides a classic, understated elegance. Catherine Stowell, VP of design at Designtex, notes that these fabrics are designed to inspire and create imaginative environments. She suggests that "Racetrack" and "Emblem" evoke images of sumptuous spaces, delightful hospitality settings, and an appreciation for intricate detail, highlighting their potential to elevate the design of residential and commercial interiors. The curated trio of fabrics—"Racetrack," "Emblem," and "Convene"—are presented as attention-grabbing, summer-ready options that combine stylistic flair with practical performance. The collection showcases a thoughtful integration of texture, pattern, and color, providing designers with versatile tools to create visually rich and functional spaces. These fabrics are positioned to add a distinctive touch, whether used in residential homes, hospitality venues, or other commercial projects. #Designtex #FabricCollection #InteriorTextiles #IndoorOutdoorFabrics #RacetrackFabric #EmblemUpholstery #ConveneFabric #TextileDesign #SummerReadyFabrics #Designtex #FabricCollection #InteriorTextiles #IndoorOutdoorFabrics #RacetrackFabric #EmblemUpholstery #ConveneFabric #TextileDesign #SummerReadyFabrics
