New patterned Ted Baker tiles give walls and floors fashionable update
The article introduces a new collection of Ted Baker tiles by British Ceramic Tile, designed to offer a stylish and contemporary update for kitchens and bathrooms. The collection features colour block prints and on-trend colour combinations, moving away from plain metro tiles to more expressive and personality-driven designs. These new tile designs were launched exclusively with Bathstore in September 2018.
One featured design is the "Colour Block Triangles" collection, which comprises striking glass tiles. These are available in two contrasting colourways, Warm and Cool, with each pack containing four different colours across eight tiles, allowing for the creation of bespoke geometric patterns. The tiles incorporate a metallic-effect finish, adding a subtle luxurious touch. This design was available from £100 per pack.
Another collection highlighted is "Indigo Blocks," ceramic tiles inspired by 1960s pop art. These tiles feature a classic indigo blue against a cream background, providing depth to the pattern. They are suitable for both walls and floors and are designed to be laid at random to create a unique, almost optical illusion-like effect. Each pack of nine tiles includes an assortment of four different designs, ensuring a bespoke final look. The Indigo Blocks were available from £38 per square meter.
The "Stepped Up" design presents a geometric pattern with a retro feel, characterized by a peachy pink and jade colour combination. This design is also suitable for both walls and floors, offering a dominant pattern for bathrooms and kitchens. An alternative colourway for this design features hues of slate and soft greys, creating a modern monochrome effect. Stepped Up tiles were also available from £38 per square meter.
Finally, the "Colour Blocks Onyx" collection is showcased, demonstrating how these large-scale glass tiles can transform spaces, such as a fireplace. This design borrows its pattern from one of Ted Baker's signature prints, featuring a trompe-l'œil faceted design. It is available in blush pink and soft grey, both identified as key colours in contemporary interior design. Colour Blocks Onyx tiles were available from £90 per pack. The new designs were available for purchase on the British Ceramic Tile website from November onwards, offering consumers a range of options to infuse personal style and on-trend aesthetics into their homes.
