Wave of Growth for ICF Pools with PVC Membranes

The pool construction industry is experiencing a growing trend towards the use of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) combined with reinforced PVC membranes for building concrete pool walls. This method offers a custom-installed waterproofing solution directly on-site, providing numerous advantages for pool builders. The increased adoption of this system is significantly boosted by the availability of durable and aesthetically pleasing reinforced PVC waterproofing membranes, which have been a standard in Europe for decades. This allows builders to construct bespoke pools while gaining better control over their project schedules. All3Pools of Missouri, a company with over a decade of experience in ICF pool construction, has recently partnered with RENOLIT to incorporate their reinforced PVC membranes. Patrick Quigley, CFO and co-founder of All3Pools, highlights that RENOLIT's material creates a smooth, seamless surface resistant to chemicals, UV light, and wear, making it suitable for both residential and commercial applications. The ICF construction technique, well-established in residential foundations, uses interlocking expanded polystyrene foam blocks to form a framework for reinforced concrete walls. This approach enables easy configuration of pools to any size or shape, utilizing readily available materials, thereby eliminating delays associated with kits or custom-fabricated liners. Aaron King, CEO and co-founder of All3Pools, emphasizes that this combination provides pool builders with enhanced control over scheduling and costs. The method is particularly advantageous for properties with smaller backyards where traditional concrete delivery methods like cement mixers or gunite trucks are impractical. Beyond new construction, All3Pools has also identified the significant potential of reinforced PVC membranes for pool renovations. King points out that the RENOLIT product offers a low barrier to entry, assisting numerous pool professionals in renovating gunite, plaster, and tile pools. These renovations, which would otherwise be prohibitively expensive, can be quickly, efficiently, and cost-effectively transformed with a reinforced PVC membrane, backed by a 15-year water tightness guarantee. While there is a learning curve involved in building ICF pools and applying the RENOLIT product, the process does not require expensive equipment. All3Pools is proactively addressing this by hosting training sessions to equip fellow pool professionals with the skills to incorporate this system into their services, enabling them to waterproof and enhance pools over diverse surface materials. Tony Jordan, Business Development Manager at RENOLIT, brings over 35 years of experience in PVC reinforced pool membranes, underscoring the expertise behind these advanced solutions. #ICFPools #PVCMembranes #PoolConstruction #Waterproofing #PoolRenovation #BuildingMaterials #ConstructionTechniques #PoolDesign #ICFPools #PVCMembranes #PoolConstruction #Waterproofing #PoolRenovation #BuildingMaterials #ConstructionTechniques #PoolDesign
