Matthew Williamson launches fabric collection for Osborne & Little

Fashion designer Matthew Williamson has expanded his creative endeavors into the realm of home interiors with the launch of his inaugural collection of fabrics and wallpapers, developed exclusively for Osborne & Little. This new collection, named 'Eden,' seamlessly translates Williamson's distinctive fashion aesthetic—characterized by a masterful use of patterns and colors—into interior design elements. The 'Eden' collection draws inspiration from ancient myths and legends, featuring striking prints that include winged horses, dragons, tigers, and Williamson's signature peacock motif. These designs are paired with luxurious textures and a palette of bold, dramatic colors, aiming to bring a glamorous and imaginative touch to British homes. The collection includes several unique designs, each with a captivating narrative and specific applications. The 'Pegasus' design, available in both fabric and wallpaper, combines rich hues with an elegant damask pattern showcasing a winged horse, inspired by nature and mythological tales. The 'Sunbird' fabric and wallpaper draw inspiration from a print featured in Matthew Williamson's Spring 2003 'Flamingo Bay' fashion collection, depicting jewel-hued birds nestled amidst lush foliage. The 'Empress' fabric and wallpaper, with their opulent metallic beading and Moorish patterns, reflect Williamson's travels to Asia and Africa and recall elements from his spring/summer 2012 fashion line. These designs are intended to evoke a sense of grandeur fit for royalty. Further enriching the collection is the 'Eden Stripe' fabric, a luxurious upholstery material featuring vibrant stripes set against a richly textured velvet background. The 'Imperial Lattice' wallpaper presents a sophisticated beaded lattice motif on a striking mica background. For those seeking a bold statement, the 'Tyger Tyger' wallpaper, reminiscent of a print from Williamson's autumn/winter 2007 collection, showcases a stalking tiger on holographic foil. The 'Ocelot' fabric and 'Ocelot Ombré' wallpaper, inspired by 1970s glamour, offer an intriguing ocelot texture, with the fabric also available in an opulent silk mix. The 'Celestial Dragon' wallpaper features an imperial dragon motif, woven in metallic shades on fabric and dramatically rendered with beguiling beading on the wallpaper, available in four colorways. Completing the collection is the 'Peacock' fabric and wallpaper, a reinterpretation of Matthew Williamson's beloved peacock motif, which uses tiny beads to highlight the feathers, creating a dramatic visual effect. Additionally, a range of Matthew Williamson cushions are available, featuring an animal velvet design reminiscent of cheetah spots in classic bold colors such as teal, cerise, electric blue, and lemon. This comprehensive 'Eden' collection is poised to make a significant impact on interior design, offering consumers the opportunity to infuse their living spaces with the distinctive and glamorous aesthetic of Matthew Williamson.
