Everything We’re Loving At Wow!house This Year
Wow!house 2025, hosted at Design Centre Chelsea Harbour, showcases a collection of impressive interior designs. The exhibition opens with the Adam Architecture Façade, an intricate Georgian-style entrance created by Darren Price. This 6.5-meter tall façade features symmetrical arched arcades, handmade cornices, and a bespoke front door, setting a grand tone for the designs within.
Following the façade, visitors enter the Cox London Entrance Hall, designed by Victoria Davar of Maison Artefact. This hall evokes a French château, adorned with sculptural pieces by Cox London, including a bespoke lion leg table and an oak leaf chandelier. The space also incorporates an 18th-century Norwegian table, an embroidered French quilt, and a floating staircase. A notable feature is the floor mosaic by the Hackney Mosaic Project, an organization supporting addiction and mental health recovery.
Chad Dorsey’s Fromental Drawing Room is designed to resemble a vibrant members' club. It includes a bespoke fireplace, chandeliers, and wallcoverings featuring hand-painted sunflowers and chrysanthemums that extend across the ceiling. Brass Crittall-style window mirrors by Simpsons London with integrated LED lighting, metallic accents, and a geometric leather rug add a modern touch to the Arts and Crafts-inspired room.
The Phillip Jeffries Study, conceptualized by Staffan Tollgård, focuses on the Northern European philosophy of the 'red thread,' where every element serves both functional and artistic purposes. The room showcases furniture, lighting, and architectural details with flowing, organic shapes made from metal, glass, leather, and stone. The walls are composed of hand-laid slices of wood, forming an abstract artwork, while the ceiling features a three-dimensional wallcovering of metallic and matte inks.
Alex Dauley’s Nucleus Media Room is a luxurious, amber-hued space designed for intimate date nights. It features shimmering wallcoverings by Zinc Textile, pieces by Black artisans, and smart home technology from Nucleus, all enveloped in walnut and brass accents.
The Perennials & Sutherland Courtyard, designed by Goddard Littlefair, transports visitors to the Mediterranean with Moorish architecture, Andalusian elements, and North African influences. The space is furnished with luxury outdoor pieces from Perennials and Sutherland, featuring grasscloth-clad walls, curved armchairs, and brushed metal finishes.
Laura Hammett’s Samuel Heath Bathroom is an homage to Art Deco, commemorating the centenary of the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs. The design incorporates bold geometric patterns, jewel tones, and Samuel Heath hardware, including a vintage bronze tap and fittings on a veined marble roll-top bath and Calacatta marble vanity unit. A handblown glass light pendant by Laura Hammett Living provides a final touch.
Nicola Harding’s Drummonds Powder Room offers a maximalist and colorful experience, with shades of turquoise, jade, and ruby, complemented by metallic accents and layered lighting. A taffeta silk tented ceiling in aubergine is a highlight, alongside Drummonds’ English bathroomware, including a double vanity stand designed by Harding.
The Curator’s Room, curated by Brigitta Spinocchia Freund, spans two areas and celebrates women in design. It features works from over 100 female artists and designers, presenting a mix of rare and contemporary pieces. These include folding chairs by Gabriella Crespi, a chandelier by Drift Studio, STARK rugs, Roksanda-collaboration ceiling designs, and a reimagined Studio Sofa from Spinocchia Freund’s private collection.
Emma Sims-Hilditch’s Sims Hilditch Courtyard Room is designed for a family and their dog, Astrid, blending antique British pieces with mid-century modern finds and custom elements. The room includes a bespoke draper’s table by Titchmarsh & Goodwin and an antique dresser with a fluted marble sink by Ca’Pietra. Screens separate the space into a boot room and a dog room, the latter featuring a dog-washing station with Delft tiles from Sims Hilditch and Marlborough Tiles, offering a contemporary take on traditional country style.
Finally, the McKinnon & Harris Garden Terrace, by Randle Siddeley, concludes the exhibition with an exotic rear garden. Enclosed by a handcrafted trellis, it features a stone fireplace, aluminum seating by McKinnon & Harris, and lush greenery, complete with a powder pink drinks cart for cocktails.
