A Grand Entrance with Clark Hall Doors
In 2008, Gary Kesling and his wife moved to Charlotte, North Carolina, from Washington, D.C., seeking a new home city. After finding Charlotte to be an ideal location, Gary, who had been a stay-at-home father for 13 years, decided to pursue a business venture there. The family settled into a house near Providence Country Club. During a search for a new front door for their residence, Gary discovered Clark Hall Doors.
His initial encounter with the company's products left a strong impression, leading him to not only purchase a door but, a year later, to acquire the entire business with his wife. Kesling expressed a deep admiration for the doors' craftsmanship and design. Clark Hall Doors specializes in custom-made entrances, offering both wood and iron options. The ironwork components are produced by an exclusive partner situated in Monterrey, Mexico, ensuring specialized fabrication.
Upon completion, these custom doors are shipped to various locations, including as far as Antigua, where their hurricane-resistant properties and optional coastal finishes are particularly valued. However, a significant portion of their clientele is concentrated within the south Charlotte area. The pricing for these custom doors starts at $5,500 for a single iron door and $9,500 for a double iron door. The quoted prices include the cost of installation. The article showcases an example of an iron door installed in a south Charlotte home. This piece was featured in the January 2016 issue of Home + Garden, within the "Spaces" category.
