Spring Kitchen Inspiration
This article showcases various kitchen designs, highlighting unique approaches from different designers and contractors, offering a spectrum of spring kitchen inspirations. Each project details the key professionals involved and the materials chosen for various components of the kitchen space, providing insight into contemporary design trends and practical applications.
The first kitchen, designed by Penny Francis of Eclectic Home and built by Shuler Construction, features Eclipse by Shiloh cabinets sourced through Mattix Cabinet Works. The flooring utilizes large format Turkish porcelain from Eclectic Home, complemented by Triton Stone countertops and a mosaic backsplash, also from Eclectic Home. Fixtures are KOHLER from Southland Plumbing, lighting is provided by Eclectic Home, furniture is custom-sourced from Eclectic Home, and appliances are Thermador from Southland Plumbing.
The second kitchen project is a collaboration between Yazoo Restorations as the contractor and H&S Designs. It incorporates Shiloh Cabinetry from Classic Cupboards. The countertops and backsplash feature Mediterranean tile fabrication from Triton Stone. This kitchen is equipped with high-end appliances, including a Wolf dual fuel range, a Sub-Zero French door refrigerator and freezer, a Cove dishwasher, and a Wolf microwave drawer.
Lauren Ferrand of Ferrand Design spearheaded the third kitchen, with Franklin Santos serving as the contractor. A notable architectural element is the stair fabrication by VULK. Central City Millworks supplied the cabinets, and the existing hardwood floors were refinished by Classic Hardwood Floors. The hood features a limestone plaster finish custom-matched by Sylvia T. Designs, and existing countertops are paired with a hand-glazed porcelain tile backsplash from Mediterranean Tile and Stone. Lighting includes Exposior White Pendant Lights by Paul McCobb from CB2 and Aqua Gallery Lighting pendants for the dining table. Emtek hardware and a Delta faucet complete the setup.
The fourth design, by Morgan Cattaneo of Cattaneo Studios, was brought to life by JLV Construction. Cattaneo Studios custom-designed the cabinets and island, which were built by Daniel LeDocte, and also custom-designed the range hood, built by JLV Construction. Red pine flooring, Dekton Entzo countertops, and a Marazzi USA backsplash are central to this design. Fixtures include a Bocchi sink and a Signature Hardware faucet. Lighting features flush mounts and pendants from Schoolhouse, and appliances are from GE Café.
The fifth kitchen, designed by Chrestia Staub + Board and constructed by Alex Tefel of A.T.H. Contractors, Inc., highlights cabinets from Legend Interiors, Inc., specifically NAC Custom Polymer Matte Metallic Slab Doors. Triton Stone supplied the Perla Venata quartzite polished countertops. Armstrong Lighting provided can lights and under-cabinet lighting. All major appliances in this kitchen are Bosch.
Finally, the sixth kitchen, designed by Maureen Stevens Design and executed by Sanderson Services, showcases Legacy Chelsea Maple cabinets painted in Gale Force from Campbell Cabinets. Florim marble-look tiles from Triton Stone are used for flooring, and quartzite from Triton Stone is applied for both countertops and backsplash. Fixtures include Georgian Era, Perrin & Rowe from the House of Rohl, Southland Plumbing. Lighting comprises Hendricks Globe Pendant & Gale Library Wall Light and Cabinet Maker’s Picture Light, all from Circa Lighting/Armstrong Lighting. Doorknobs are from Restoration Hardware. Appliances are primarily Thermador, with a BlueStar kitchen range and a Fossil Blu Fireclay farmhouse sink. Decorative elements include a Katonah Hardware grille and wallpaper by Annie Moran, with shade fabric from Palm Orleans.
