This Awesome TV Backlight Kit Glows The Same Colors As The Images On Your Screen

The article introduces the Govee TV LED Backlights with Camera, a product that brings back the immersive viewing experience akin to Philips Ambilight. Unlike basic LED strips, the Govee system uses a 1080p intelligent camera to capture on-screen colors and project them onto the wall behind the TV, extending the visual experience beyond the screen. This technology, named Govee Envisual, aims to enhance home entertainment for activities like movie nights, gaming, and watching sports by creating an ambiance that dynamically changes with the content. The Govee TV LED Backlights offer several key features, including smart voice control compatibility with Alexa and Google Assistant, as well as control through the Govee Home app. The RGBIC technology allows for segmented color customization on the light strips, enabling multiple colors to be displayed simultaneously. The system also includes an enhanced music mode with a built-in microphone, syncing the lights to music across four different modes (Energic, Rhythm, Spectrum, Rolling). Installation is designed to be user-friendly, with the camera attaching to the top center of the TV and 12.5ft of backlights (for 55-65 inch TVs) attaching to all four sides using clips and adhesives. The product boasts over 99 scene modes and two video modes to create various moods. While offering significant benefits, the article also addresses potential drawbacks. One concern is the possibility of mild distraction from the backlighting, as the dynamic glow might divide attention from the main content. This can be mitigated by dimming the brightness, though it reduces the light's intensity. Another point of consideration is the installation process, which involves adhesive stickers that could potentially damage thin OLED TVs if not applied carefully. Users are advised to reduce the stickiness of the calibration stickers by patting them on a clean cloth before use. Furthermore, aligning the light strips, especially around corners or on curved TVs, can be tedious, despite the inclusion of adhesive clamps. For curved TVs, the article suggests that the basic kit with two smart light bars might be a more aesthetically pleasing option if hiding the strips perfectly is a priority. The article details three models of Govee TV LED Backlights. The first two are H6199 models for 55-65 inch TVs (12.5 ft/4 sections) and 75-85 inch TVs (16.4 ft/4 sections), both featuring Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, compatibility with Siri, Alexa, and Google Assistant, RGBIC LEDs, 114 or 150 lamp beads respectively, four music modes, and a 12V 2A power adapter. The third model is the Govee Neon TV LED Backlights H61B2, designed for 48-55 inch & 65-75 inch TVs. This model distinguishes itself with a neon casing, a length of 9.84 ft/1 section, 180 lamp beads, eleven music modes, and a 24V 1.5A power output. All models utilize the Govee Home app for control and customization.
